System Administrator

We are looking for a qualified and experienced System Admin.

About this position

Your tasks are:

  • The installation, administration and maintenance of the necessary hardware and software in a heterogeneous environment are your main activities.
  • You work alternately in hotline support and independently carry out the on-site service for our internal customers and departments.
  • You monitor a heterogeneous environment with the common monitoring platforms.
  • You will work closely with colleagues from the other system platforms and the network in order to maximize the availability and reliability of the systems you manage.
  • Your task will be to set up, control and manage objects from a common directory service.
  • They ensure that the system functions and that the physical and logical data backup is maintained.
  • The supportive cooperation in difficult support cases is a matter of course for you.

This is what we wish for:

  • You have completed IT training (e.g. IT specialist system integration) or similar experience in the IT area and have good knowledge and extensive experience in the administration of Windows and Linux systems.
  • You also have knowledge of heterogeneous client / server networks, protocols and services and, ideally, the products of the manufacturers Cisco, Juniper and / or Dell Networking.
  • Monitoring and evaluating performance data from a heterogeneous system landscape with products such as check_MK, Nagios and / or Grafana / Prometheus does not pose any major problems.
  • Ideally, your profile should be rounded off by knowledge of scripts (e.g. in bash / shell scripting, Python, Perl or PHP).
  • The use of documentation tools such as iDoit, dokuWiki and / or the in-house developed workflow system MAPITO during your work represents efficient support for you.
  • You have the ability to approach and solve problems systematically and analytically and have a pronounced service-oriented work and appearance at the customer.
  • Working in a team is great fun and supports you in your independent work.
  • Language requirements: English-Advanced Knowledge.
